1地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句
where，wherever
Generally, air will be heavily polluted where there are factories.
一般來(lái)講，在有工廠的地方，空氣會(huì)受到嚴(yán)重污染。
2時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句
⑴ 當(dāng)......的時(shí)候：when, as, while
I fell asleep when/as/while he was doing his exercises .
他正作練習(xí)時(shí)我睡著了。
When he arrived in Shanghai , his mother met him at the station .
他到上海時(shí)，他媽媽到車(chē)站接他。
While John was watching TV, his wife was cooking.
當(dāng)約翰看電視的時(shí)候，他的媽媽在做飯。
She always sings as she walks .
她總是一邊走一邊唱。
注意：when 引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句中的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞可以是持續(xù)的也可以是瞬時(shí)的;while和as引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句中的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞必須是持續(xù)的。
⑵ 一......就......：as soon as, the minute, the moment，the instant，immediately , directly, instantly, no sooner … than..., hardly …when..., scarcely…when...
The children ran away from the orchard(果園) the moment they saw the guard.
孩子們一看到守衛(wèi)就從果園跑掉了。
No sooner had I arrived home than it began to rain.
我一到家天就開(kāi)始下雨。
⑶ 直到......till,until, not...until...（直到......才......，not翻譯成“才”）
I didn’t realize how special my mother was until I became an adult.
直到我長(zhǎng)大成人，我才意識(shí)到我的媽媽是多么特別。
⑷ ......次......的時(shí)候：every/each/the last/next/any/the first...time
Every time I listen to your advice, I get into trouble.
每次我聽(tīng)到你的聲音，我就會(huì)有麻煩。
⑸ once一旦......就......
Once you begin, you must go on.
你一開(kāi)了頭,就應(yīng)該繼續(xù)下去.
⑹ before 在......以前
It was not long before he told me about this affair .
不久，他就告訴我這件事。
⑺ after 在......以后
After he had finished the work , he went home .
他干完活，回家了。
⑻ since 自從......以來(lái)
We have been friends (ever since) since we met at school.
自從我們?cè)趯W(xué)校相遇以來(lái)，我們一直都是朋友。
3. 原因狀語(yǔ)從句
⑴ because（因?yàn)椋cwhy配套使用）
⑵ since/now that（既然，因?yàn)椋?/strong>
Now that everybody has come, let’s begin our conference.
既然大家都來(lái)了，讓我們開(kāi)始會(huì)議吧。
⑶ as（由于）
⑷ in that（因?yàn)椋?/strong>
The higher income tax is harmful in that it may discourage people from trying to earn more.
更高的所得稅是有害的，因?yàn)槟菚?huì)阻止人們努力賺更多錢(qián)。
⑸ seeing that/considering that/given that（考慮到）
Considering that he is no more than 12 years old, his height of 1.80 m is quite remarkable.
考慮到他僅僅十二歲，他一米八的身高就很引人注意了。
4結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句
so … that..., such … that...，so that(以至于......)
It’s such a good chance that we must not miss it.= It’s sogood a chance that we must not miss it.
這是如此好的一個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)，以至于我們不能錯(cuò)過(guò)。
注意：so+形容詞/副詞，因?yàn)閟o是副詞;such+名詞，因?yàn)閟uch是形容詞。
5. 目的狀語(yǔ)從句
so that(以便), in order that（為了） ,in case（以防）, in the hope that（希望能......）, for the purpose that（目的是......）
The boss asked the secretary to hurry up with the letters so that he could sign them.
老板讓秘書(shū)快點(diǎn)處理信件，以便他能夠簽字。
The teacher raised his voice on purpose that the students in the back could hear more clearly.
老師提高聲音，目的是后面的同學(xué)能夠聽(tīng)得更清楚。
6. 條件狀語(yǔ)從句
if,,unless（除非，=if...not...），
as。soon as(一...就...)
as/so long as（只要）
7. 讓步狀語(yǔ)從句
whether(是否)
Whether you believe or not, he is a villain.
無(wú)論你相信與否，他都是一個(gè)小人。
8. 比較狀語(yǔ)從句
as, than
The house is three times as big as ours.
這所房子是我們房子的三倍大。
